Econ_Aged42The Outdoor Hall of Fame, as the name suggests, celebrates great creativity in outdoor. A medium that depends heavily on the quality of the creative to get the public’s attention. Developed in association with Campaign, it’s about identifying great craft skills and talent, and to create an aspirational ‘Mount Olympus’ type place where the legacy of great poster work can be consulted as inspiration.

Back in 2010, the top 100 posters of all time were inducted into the Hall of Fame, featuring The Economist, B&H pyramids, Hello Boys, Wayne Rooney George’s cross and so forth, but also Lord Kitchener “Your Country Needs You”, Guinness girders and toucan etc…

They’ve now opened up the search again, for the best outdoor of 2011-2012. After thousands of votes from the public, the top 20 are now being judged by Campaign’s judging panel. Depending on their votes some or all of these will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on 28th February.

Winners will be announced on the night by Danny Rogers, the new Editor of Campaign. But from 3 to 6pm at the ICA on Thursday Feb 28, all the candidate work, old and new, will be on display. So if you’re learning the craft, you really should head down there and check out the work.
